After all this time, this is what people get? After all the broly build up, gohan build up? The consistency of disappointment delivered from dragon ball over the years is truly amazing. Used to watch it as a kid, the memories will always be pure. Not gonna taint it with this. But we know people will eat it up regardless.

I finally figured out what is off for me. It is Goku. I am so used to him in his his purple gi or his dark orange Kame gi with no undershirt as a kid. And being a bit chubbier. He looks more like Goten with short sleeves here. I kinda hope they point out how odd it is he looks just like his second son.

honestly i understand why people were disappointed but seeing goku with his power pole again is pretty hype, i always liked his dragon ball and early dbz design

however, a lot of people are saying GT but what about og dragon ball? if we get a classic dragon ball adventure + some fights this would be completely different from GT. without ss4, and the fact that everyone is turned into children, it could be a huge obstacle if they have to fight a universe ending threa

also something else i noticed is that only westerners are upset lmao. japanese and spanish speaking fans are excited and grateful

Looks beautiful. Not sure about the premise. But whatever. Dragon Ball always has weird plots. I love it anyway. It feels like they’re making a celebration of all the eras with this, I like that. They can finish Super later. This seems like a fun ride. Not a solid multi season one, but a great one-off for sure.

I hate to say it but the more the original creator gets involved the more crap the show gets. HIs taste in things is aweful which is why the studios controlled him so much. All he really is, is a top notch character designer and world builder. What his team does with his ideas are what make it special. Akira always wanted to keep Goku small and have this fantasy adventure story but everyone else made him turn it into a fighting show. Akira isnt a fighting manga artist. Hes a childrens fantasy author. THis makes perfect sense to me. I will watch it of course, but if he is in total control over it, then expect it to be cheesy and cringy at times. Like with DBS Super Hero and the character Jaco. No more dragon ball super? I guess you people want to make more money off a new line of toys and merchandise instead.
